Where are you located?

The River Forest Park District Administration office is located at The Depot, 401 Thatcher Avenue. Most people think our building is the Metra Station, however, the building actually houses the Park District’s administration offices and programming space.

How do I register for River Forest Park District Programs?

Is a membership required to use the platform tennis facility?

Yes. Use of the River Forest Park District platform tennis facility does require the purchase of an annual membership.

Are private lessons allowed to be conducted on River Forest Park District property?

Private lessons are prohibited on River Forest Park District property, including private tennis and fitness lessons.

Are you affiliated with the River Forest Community Center?

No. The River Forest Community Center is a separate non-profit organization that is housed at the River Forest Civic Authority building, 8020 Madison Street.

Does the open space at Harlem Avenue and Lake Street Belong to the River Forest Park District?

No. This property is owned and maintained by the Forest Preserve of Cook County.

I've lost something in a park or at a facility. What do I do?

The Park District receives daily many lost and found items from all of our parks, which still remain unclaimed. If you are missing any clothing items, baseball mitts, water bottles, eye glasses, jewelry, watches or other miscellaneous items, please come to 401 Thatcher and check out our Lost and Found boxes.
