The River Forest Park District is proud to host the 11th Annual Community Bank Makin Tracks 5K Run/Walk, as one of our 2008 special events. This race is presented by the Community Bank of Oak Park River Forest, the River Forest Park District, Concordia University Chicago, and Fenwick High School. This year’s event is a Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA) registered race, and takes place through the flat, tree-lined streets of River Forest. All net proceeds from the race will go to the West Suburban Special Recreation Association, to provide superior recreation services for adults and children who have physical impairment, a mental disability, or any other type of disability to children and adults with special needs.
